Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the rooms were decent despite being a bit small and warm, the location was ideal with easy access to the city center and stunning views of Albert Dock. The service was friendly and helpful, but the dining options were limited. The facilities were secure and functional, making it a suitable choice for a short stay.
The hotel is conveniently located in a central area, making it a perfect base for exploring Liverpool. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, had a slight unpleasant smell upon arrival. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering satisfactory service. The location is ideal, close to amenities and with great views. The dining experience was decent, although a bit limited. Overall, a good value for the price paid.
Staying at Liverpool Central The Strand in one of the business floor rooms due to my disability, which we didn't realize until check-in, turned out to be excellent value for money. The room was very clean and offered a great view of the docks. The service, despite construction work nearby and an attempt to use an old stained duvet, was very friendly and welcoming, with detailed explanations about the hotel facilities. The location is superb, being across the Strand from the Albert Dock and adjacent to Liverpool One, offering great dining, entertainment, and shopping options. However, next-door neighbors were a bit loud on the first night. The dining experience, priced at £8.50, was excellent with loads of choice and a well-stocked breakfast. Overall, a very friendly staff, efficient check-in, basic room with a good bed, good shower, and coffee-making facilities located near local transport and within an easy walk from Lime Street, near everything.
The hotel is in a prime location, right opposite the Albert Dock, making it convenient for exploring Liverpool. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the ongoing building site noise was quite a disturbance. The service was a mix of efficient and needing improvement, with helpful staff but lacking in customer relations training.
The hotel was warm, clean, with an amazing view, but the rooms were basic without shelves for clothes or a proper shower screen. However, I would recommend and stay again. The service was super polite and helpful, although they used an old stained duvet. The location was perfect, by the docks with great views, but some local pubs were a bit noisy. The dining experience had a decent choice, including Linda McCartney sausages, but it was average overall. The facilities were satisfactory.
